Our pastor, Rick Pigott accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in July of 1967 as a rising junior in high school. He grew up as a member of the Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church just out of Meridian, Mississippi. Upon graduation from Mississippi State with degrees in marketing and management, he began a management career with Burlington Industries. After five years with Burlington the Spirit of God put into his heart a call into full time pastoral ministries.

In 1979, he accepted the pastoral call to the Antioch Southern Methodist Church and served the people and the Lord for eight years. In 1987, the Lord choose to move him and his family to Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he has been serving in the work of the Kingdom at the Wesley Southern Methodist Church for 17 years. He has enjoyed serving in various expressions of ministry including Conference Youth Director, Camp Director, Annual Conference and General Conference Boards and Committees. However, his first love in ministry remains the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.

He is married to Gale C. Pigott of Meridian, Mississippi. Gale works full time as a secretary and they have two children in college, Hollie and Ricky.
